Emerge Vocational Skills, National Skill Development Corporation & World Skills Australia together join hands to encourage the youth for World Skills Competition

Emerge Vocational skills (EVS ) & National Skill Development Corporation(NSDC) a public private partnership hosted Mark Callaghan(CEO, World Skills, Australia) and Jessica Martin(Silver medallist at WorldSkills Competition 2013 in Leipzig Germany, in Restaurant Service)in partnership with emerge vocational skills to prepare the youth of India for the upcoming WorldSkills competition in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2015.

World skills International believes in nurturing talent by means of providing vocational training. Every 2 years, it promotes the biggest skill competition in the world. It brings together thousands of skilled participants across the globe. Last time it was held in year 2013 in Germany and India won 3 medals of excellence. In 2015, the competition will be held in Sau Paulo, Brazil.

MARK CALLAGHAN (CEO of WorldSkills Australia) who is responsible for delivering WSA’s vision of contributing to Australia’s sustainable economic prosperity through the development, recognition and promotion of excellence in skills said,“WorldSkills competitions provide a fantastic opportunity to benchmark skills within a country and against the rest of the world. At all levels competitors are benchmarked against their peers – locally, nationally and internationally. A primary aim of the competitions is to elevate the status of trades and skills to young people and their support network (eg parents, teachers and careers counsellors) and to demonstrate that the trades and skills based careers are viable first choice career options. The 'International Business Initiative Directions (BID), Quality Convention held in Paris on October 29th 2012. The WQC World Quality Commitment Award acknowledges the strong commitment to quality and Excellence in the realm of Customer Satisfaction, Leadership, Innovation and technology as established in the QC100 TQM Model.

Mr. R. Kannan, Managing Director and Mr. Venkatachalam Subramanian, Director, received the WQC in the Concorde La Fayette of Paris, from the president of B.I.D., Jose E. Preito. The Convention recognized companies from 54 countries around the world for their achievements.

The award is an effort on the part of BID, Madrid, Spain, to acknowledge strong commitment towards building better business reputation worldwide. According to BID President, Jose E. Prieto, "awardee companies are symbols of commitment to leadership, technology and innovation which make them models for other companies in their respective sectors." BID is recognized by 178 countries worldwide as a benchmark for the establishment of original quality.
